What is a Lector?
A lector reads either the first or second reading during Mass. The lector who reads the first reading also reads the intentions after the creed.
How do I become a lector?
Any high school teens interested in becoming a lector on Sundays at 5:30pm mass. The teen will also need to meet with Mike to train a practice reading in the Church.
What is an Usher?
An usher passes the basket during Mass after the Creed and intentions and brings the gifts to the altar. Each Mass needs 4 ushers for the Church and 1 for the Cry Room. Two ushers are requested to also pass out the bulletins at the end of Mass at the Main door of the Church.
How do I become an usher?
Any middle or high school teens interested in becoming an usher on Sundays at 5:30pm mass. You will need to have a short training to learn the sections of the church and for other information on ushering.
What is a greeter?
Greeter arrives at least 20 mins before the start of Mass and stands in the Nathex to welcome people into Mass and are avilalbe if someone is new and has a question. Greeters can be groups of teens or a family.
How do I become a greeter?
Any family or teen group interested in becoming greeters on Sundays at 5:30pm Mass.
